Responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible for centralizing supply and equipment, contract administration and implementation, eliminating redundancy and general waste, designing, implementing, and maintaining strategies to reduce supply cost through price analysis, service and contract negotiations. Candidate will be tasked with developing a centralized Purchasing platform and team, as well as responsible for developing a system level supply and equipment savings goals. Coordinate accrual and invoice discrepancy maintenance between buyers and Accounts Payable is also required. Collaboration with departments and multiple facilities to monitor and report compliance of implemented changes in products, services, processes and contracts.

Qualifications/Experience:
Seven years healthcare experience required, surgical product knowledge preferred. To include: Two years of supervisory experience. Demonstrated strong and proven experience in supply/service contract negotiation required. Financial/cost analysis experience required. Experience collaborating and leading across multiple teams and organizations to accomplish work objectives. Strong written and communications skills required for routine interaction and presentation with peers, administration, physicians and vendors. Prior experience and demonstrated working knowledge of inventory planning/forecasting as well as operational systems and warehousing management required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Duties

• Perform histories, physicals and pre-op evaluations
• Perform discharge and planning and discharge summaries
• Writes orders to include: Therapeutic, Medications, Lab, Diagnostic and Discharge orders
• Perform and assist with impatient rounds
• Provide health promotion
• Consult and coordinate care with staff, physician, patient families, nursing home and hospital
• Education of patient as appropriate
• Referral to specialist
• Additional duties included but no limited to:Order X-Rays, Suturing, Casting, Application of splints, Assist in Surgery and Deep/Superficial wound closure

Requirements

• Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program
• Certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Two (2) plus years orthopedic experience

Summary

Responsible for direction of patient care in the medical surgical setting. Requirements

• Current BCLS certification.
• Successful completion of arrhythmia course.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Performs technical laboratory functions including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, immunology, allergy testing, and other tests. Performs echocardiography (EKG), phlebotomy, pulmonary function testing tasks on occasion.
2. Reports test results following clinic protocols, alerting physicians and/or nurses immediately about “red flag” results.
3. Ensures quality control in collecting specimens and in ensuring appropriate sampling and record keeping. May instruct laboratory assistant on housekeeping and other tasks.
4. Maintains equipment, instruments, and supplies as needed.
5. Complies with all quality assurance policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations related to safety, cleanliness, and infection control.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma. Successful completion of medical technologist, medical laboratory technician, or certified laboratory assistant program.

Experience: Minimum two years of laboratory experience, preferably in clinic setting.

Other Requirements: American Medical Technologist certification.
