Total Joint (Knee & Hip)

912.644.5300

Total joint replacement is a surgical procedure performed most frequently to replace hip joints and knee joints. At Optim, our team of highly specialized, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons use the most innovative techniques and personally customized procedures to completely remove the worn and deteriorated joint and tissues and replace them with a metal, plastic or ceramic device called a prosthesis. The prosthesis is designed to replicate the movement of a normal, healthy joint. This procedure allows patients who have long suffered from pain, most commonly due to arthritis, to return to their active lifestyles. Our team of health care professionals understand that having any kind of surgery can be an overwhelming experience. We’re with you every step of the way, offering total joint education classes and providing all the information, resources and positive support to prepare you for success throughout the entire journey.

If you’ve been dealing with joint pain and think you might be a candidate for hip replacement or knee replacement surgery, make an appointment with one of our total joint specialists to see if joint replacement is an option.
